The history in Europe is astounding. So much of that history can be found in the buildings if you just take the time to look.
Since I don't know a thing about being an architect, all I can do is snap a picture of the things that really catch my eye. This post is a gallery of some of the amazing buildings, structures, areas, etc that I saw (it's barley scratching the surface).
One thing I will say is that the best way to get to see som many of these new spots was by walking around. I shared my transportation thoughts in another post, but the conclusion was that walking is the way to see a big city hands down.
Here are some of the places and things that stood out to me.
Conclusion: We interact with buildings and man made constructs daily. It isn't until we run across something "different" that we take a step back and think a little about what we see. I love seeing the history of a place by the things people built in the past (and are building now). It's a cool way to think about the people that used an area before us.
